§ 10.36.070. Other parking violations.

    Persons guilty of violations concerning forty-eight-hour parking violations, sweeper parking, snow removal parking or other parking violations not involving overtime parking may pay as a penalty for and in full satisfaction of such violation the sum of five dollars within forty-eight hours after such violations occur. The failure of such person to make the payments within forty-eight hours shall render such person subject to a fine in the sum of twenty-five dollars per violation.

    B.

    It is unlawful for any person to remove or attempt to remove the chalk markings utilized for parking enforcement placed upon a vehicle's tire in order to avoid the issuance of a parking violation or to attempt to obstruct the city's parking enforcement employee from adequately performing his or her duties or issuing a parking violation to said vehicle.

    Persons guilty of violating Subsection B of this section concerning the removal or attempted removal of the chalk markings shall be fined the sum of no more than seven hundred fifty dollars for each offense.
