§ 5.60.030. Permit—Application.

    Any person desiring to secure such a solicitor's permit shall apply therefore in writing over his signature to the chief of police on forms provided by the city, and such application shall state:

    1.

    The name and address of the applicant;

    2.

    The name and address of the person, firm or corporation by whom employed;

    3.

    The length of service of residence and nature of the employment of the applicant during the last preceding year;

    4.

    The nature or character of the goods, wares, or merchandise to be offered by the applicant;

    5.

    The personal description of the applicant;

    6.

    The models and license plate numbers of the vehicles to be used; and

    7.

    Proof of local public health department permits.

    B.

    Such application shall be accompanied by such credentials and other evidence of the identity, honesty and good character of the applicant as may be deemed reasonable and/or required by the chief of police and a ten dollar nonrefundable application fee. That there is hereby established, a ten-day waiting period from the time the completed application is submitted and the time of the issuance of the solicitor's permit. Such applicant shall pay to the chief of police, the application fee and the fee as stated in Section 5.60.040 prior to the issuance of any solicitor's permit.
