§ 5.08.140. Salary of liquor control commissioner.

  • The mayor of the city shall act as liquor control commissioner of the city, and he shall be assisted by the entire council of the city, and each member of the city council shall be designated as assistant liquor control commissioner. All liquor licenses issued by the city shall be under the signature of the mayor with the advice and the consent of the city council. The liquor control commissioner shall be entitled to annual compensation for duties as liquor control commissioner pursuant to Section 5/4-3 of the Illinois Liquor Control Act (235 ILCS 5/4-3) in the amount of ten thousand dollars per year. Compensation for liquor control commissioner shall commence on May 1, 2017, and shall continue each fiscal year thereafter.
