Chapter 17.18. R1 SINGLE-FAMILY DETACHED RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT |
§ 17.18.020. Conditional permitted uses.
Conditional permitted uses in the R1 single-family residence district shall be:
•
Athletic fields;
•
Bed and breakfasts;
•
Cemeteries, and mausoleums, on a lot not less than ten acres in area and provided no building shall be located less than three hundred feet from a lot line;
•
Colleges, universities and accessory uses including dormitories;
•
Community and recreation centers;
•
Convents, monasteries, rectories, or parsonages;
•
Churches, temples or synagogues;
•
Day care center or nursing homes on a lot not less than one acre in area;
•
Golf courses, standard; but not including "par 3" golf courses, commercially operated driving ranges, or miniature golf courses; and provided, that no clubhouse or accessory building shall be located less than two hundred feet from a lot line;
•
Hospitals;
•
Libraries;
•
Planned developments;
•
Private landing strips;
•
Private recreational areas or camps, when not operated for profit, on a lot not less than five acres in area, and provided no building or structure shall be located less than two hundred feet from a lot line;
•
Public utility and governmental service uses on lots having areas, widths, yards and other conditions as approved by the city council which includes the following:
º
Filtration plants, pumping stations, water reservoirs and wells;
º
Gas regulator stations;
º
Police and fire stations;
º
Railroad rights-of-way and passenger stations but not including classification yards, terminal facilities or maintenance facilities;
º
Sewage treatment plant;
º
Microwave relay towers;
º
Other governmental and utility service uses.
•
Schools, boarding or nonboarding, elementary, junior high or high school;
•
Seminaries, convents, monasteries and similar religious institutions on a lot not less than five acres in area and provided no building or structure shall be located less than one hundred feet from a lot line;
•
Medical and dental clinics located on real property immediately adjacent to or within two hundred fifty feet of a hospital;
•
Transitional shelters.
