§ 15.12.010. Building fees.

All applicants for a building permit shall pay and the building officer shall charge and collect the building fees with respect to applications for the issuance of permits for and the inspection and supervision of the construction, alteration and repair of buildings and other structures, in accordance with the following schedule:

A.

Residential construction (single-family residence).

1.

New construction, including wiring and plumbing: Six dollars per hundred square feet, or portion thereof, of all living space, garage and basement areas.

2.

For additions, incidental or accessory buildings and/or structures including wiring and building: Six dollars per hundred square feet or portion thereof, of each floor and basement, with a minimum fee of twenty-five dollars.

3.

Alterations, remodeling or other structures not including any addition to existing buildings which will add to the ground area thereof: Six dollars per hundred square feet with a minimum fee of thirty dollars;

B.

Residential duplex, triplex and quad construction.

1.

New construction, including wiring and plumbing: Six dollars per hundred square feet for the overall area encompassing all living space, garage and basement area.

2.

For additions, incidental or accessory buildings and/or structures, including wiring and plumbing: Six dollars per hundred square feet or portion thereof, of each floor and basement, with a minimum fee of thirty dollars.

3.

Alterations, remodeling or other structures not including any addition to existing buildings which will add to the ground area above: Six dollars per hundred square feet or portion thereof with a minimum fee of fifty dollars.

C.

Apartments over four units: Six dollars per hundred square feet.

1.

Alterations, remodeling or other structures not including any additions to existing building which will add to the ground areas thereof: Minimum fee of seventy-five dollars.

D.

Business, commercial, industrial, storage and institutional buildings. All new construction including grading, foundations, buildings, pipe plumbing/water supply, electrical/communications, waste disposal systems, all industrial-type facilities and all other items required for the project when shown on the initial or supplement application for permit and/or the data attached thereto:

1.

New construction: Six dollars per hundred square feet or portion thereof for all floor area including basements, additions to buildings and/or other structures and improvements with a minimum fee of one hundred dollars.

2.

For additions, incidental or accessory buildings and/or structures, including wiring and plumbing: Six dollars per hundred square feet or portion thereof, of each floor and basement, with a minimum fee of one hundred dollars.

3.

Alterations, remodeling or other structures not including any addition to existing buildings which will add to the ground area above: Six dollars per hundred square feet or portion thereof with a minimum fee of one hundred dollars.

E.

Microwave relay towers, telephone transmission equipment, personal wireless service facilities, telecommunication facilities and towers.

1.

New tower construction: One thousand five hundred dollars base fee plus fifty dollars per foot above one hundred feet from ground.

2.

Platform or antenna installation on new or existing towers: One thousand dollars per platform and three hundred dollars per antenna.
