§ 13.12.020. Standard meter adopted.

A.

There is adopted as a standard meter for use in the city water system the Read-O-Matic-type meter as manufactured by Badger, Rockwell or Equal. The meter shall be required on all future installations, replacements or changes of water meters.

B.

Whenever the Read-O-Matic or equal replaces a meter, the design of which is such that the meter body is inside the premises and outside reading device is used, no charge shall be made to the consumer.

C.

Whenever the Read-O-Matic or equal replaces a non-outside reading type with the meter body in the building, a charge to the consumer of fifteen dollars per meter shall be paid to the city in advance of the installation.
