§ 10.30.020. Prohibited locations.

A.

In order to promote the health, safety and welfare of its citizens, parking will be prohibited on marked U.S. Route 6 and Illinois Route 47 along Bedford Road and Division Street (marked as U.S. Route 6 and Illinois Route 47) extending from the west corporate limits on Bedford Road easterly to Division Street and from approximately three hundred lineal feet south of Waverly Street on Division Street northerly to approximately four hundred sixty-one lineal feet north of the intersection with U.S. Route 6 (East) and Green Acres Drive all within the city corporate limits, and will in the future prohibit parking at such locations on or immediately adjacent to this improvement as may be determined to be necessary by the state from traffic capacity studies, when the proposed construction has been completed and is functional.

B.

It is unlawful to park any vehicle, at any time, on either side of Old Stage Road from the east line of Section 8, Township 33 North, Range 7 East of the Third Principal Meridian westerly for approximately three thousand eighty-four feet to the west city limits line.

C.

In order to provide for the health, safety and welfare of its citizens, parking will be prohibited at the following locations:

1.

On both sides of Illinois Route 47 (Division Street) from the north junction of U.S. Route 6/Green Acres Drive and extending northerly ±2.3 kilometers (±1.4 mile) to Morris' north corporate limits;

2.

On both sides of Gore Road from Illinois Route 47 to ±91 meters (±300') west;

3.

On both sides of Mall Road from Illinois Route 47 to ±91 meters (±300') east;

4.

On the west side of Pine Street between Benton Street and Armstrong Street.

Any person, firm or corporation violating the provisions of this subsection shall be fined not less than fifty dollars, nor more than five hundred dollars for each offense.
